Monday January 25th 1915 It was not so pleasant as yesterday. We were at home all day. Did some visiting and reading. Mr Falk went for mail. The men folks were very busy. Did some fancy work. Tuesday January 26th 1915 We were home and busy in the usual way till about four oclock. Walter took us in town in the machine. We got the mail and got things needed spent evening reading. Wednesday January 27th 1915 It rained nearly all day. Mr Falk went in town for mail. I began a center piece in crochet for myself. I wrote Will and sent it in by Mr Taylor. He had been helping Walter fix the Auto. Thursday January 28th 1915 I worked on my center piece all forenoon. I wrote a lot of cards after dinner. We went down town before four oclock called at Mrs McCormicks. The Taylors were there. We got so many letters. One from Fannie said Mrs Mary Coldren had died at Kansas City. Rob writes the and-irons Hattie sent were there. Friday January 29th 1915 We were home till late in the afternoon went down town. Did some errands wrote cards today. Spent the evening reading. Saturday January 30th 1915 We started to Daytona Beach at 10:15. It was a fine ride. Then went on up to Ormond and back before having dinner at Schmidts Hotel. We found the tide was out by that time so took an Auto ride on the sandy beach. Saw an air ship flight and people bathing. We stopped on the street to listen to a band concert and starting home about four oclock. Reached here before dark. Great Day [Great Day is underscored]
