Thursday February 4th 1915 It was a pleasant day. We were home and busy with our work &c till late in the afternoon. We went down town in the car. The [Larshmores?] spent the evening here and we had music. Saturday February 6th 1915 We were at home busy with our fancy work &c till rather late in the afternoon. we went down town with Walter. We did errands and waited for him. It was late when we got home. I wrote Ott today. A letter from him says Aunt Fannie Hepburn is very ill in Washington, D.C. She is 91 years old. Sunday February 7th 1915 It was a fine day. We went to S School and church while Walter and his Mother went to their meeting. We spent the afternoon at home reading and resting. Monday February 8th 1915 We were at home all day. Mr Falk and Walter went in to a fruit growers meeting in afternoon. They brought us a lot of mail. a long letter from Cora said Aunt Fannie Hepburn was dead. The weather there is very cold and stormy. Tuesday February 9th 1915 The nights are cool here new but bright warm days. We were busy about home most of the time. I walked up in the grove before noon to get some fruit and Mrs Falk and Hattie were out in the afternoon. I finished the center piece that has been so hard to do today. We all went up to Taylors to spend the evening. This is the first day since we came that we have not had mail. Five weeks today since we left home. It does not seem possible.
