Sunday June 6th 1915 We were at Cairo when we woke up. We went up in the city for breakfast and then our boat "The Stocks Lee" took us on. A five days trip. I wrote some. Monday June 7th 1915 I wrote letters and did packing. We left the boat about one oclock made a hasty trip to Depot and got a train for Burlington. Wired Birdie we were coming at 9:20. weather cold and river high. a nice trip from St Louis. Tuesday June 8th 1915 Spent the day quietly at the House by a grate fire. Birdie out to the Givens girls for dinner. Wednesday June 9th 1915 Will & I worked up to Mrs Shultz for a call. Then down town to make some purchases, got back for dinner. I slept in afternoon. Will had Auto ride with Mr Stemers after supper. Then we all went to picture show. Thursday June 10th 1915 We decided to not go home. I telephoned Fannie and they are not going till Sunday morning. It rained most of the forenoon. I did some writing and fancy work. Late in afternoon The Grimes Girls came, would not stay for supper. Later they came back with a Mr Willaver and Mr Patterson. They with the Stemers with Birdie and I all went to the picture show.
