Monday October 4th 1915 The girls did washing this morning. Hattie went to Club meeting in afternoon. Rob Cora Hattie and I went to The Opera of "The Bohemian Girl" in evening. A friend had brought Robs Auto home so we had that When we got home after eleven oclock. Will was still up and told us. William had taken their car and gone away. Hattie stayed down there all night. Ott is away, will be home tomorrow. Tuesday October 5th 1915 Ott got home at 8 oclock. He is doing what he can to locate William. The men are getting ready for the sale of lots. Will helped with finishing the roads yesterday and has a bad cold today. I was down at Fannies all afternoon. The Bremmers came back from Cedar Rapids tonight. Hattie had ladies here for church committee work. Wednesday October 6th 1915 The Bremmers went home in the afternoon. I stayed with Fannie while Hattie went to the depot with them. I spent the evening alone with Will. The others in town. Thursday October 7th 1915 I sewed a little in forenoon. This is the day the lot sale begins. Spent the afternoon with Fannie. Hattie & Cora in town. The folks had a letter from William. He was at Columbus, Nebraska. Fannie rode with us in the evening. Friday October 8th 1915 It is cold and gloomy. Such a back set to the lot sale. They heard from William again today and Ott started to bring him home from Kearney, Nebraaska. Rob took him to the west found train at 3:30. And Hattie & Cora to P E O meeting. I was with Fannie.
