Monday October 7 1907 I baked bread and cooked a good dinner. Lizzie went down town early and brought her father out. Some after dinner Will took her things all down town and we went on the car at 2.37. I took Lizzie up to Swishers after going to the depot of an errand. I will miss her so she goes home tomorrow I got home on the 4.20 car. got supper and wrote some. Tuesday October 8 1907 It was a fine morning. Will went to Cedar Rapids I washed 8 sheets and got dinner ready for Billy so I went down town at 11.37 to see Lizzie and her Father start. They went at 12.15 toward Des Moines. I went over home for dinner. Mother went to Aunt Libs in the afternoon. I came home at 4.20. Will had come on down town from Cedar Rapids so came home with me. I ironed in the evening. I do miss Lizzie so much. Wednesday October 9 1907 The boys began to get the wood home that Will bought of Lucian Dennis. I worked the rest of the clothes and got them ironed too. I swept the house all over besides It was bed-time when I got the clothes folded to put away and the evening work done.
