Friday November 22 1907 We were all awake most of the night. Father grew steadily worse. There was a great change come over him about sun-rise and at 10.10 he quietly breathed his last. We were all near him except Will he did not get down till a little after he had gone. Poor suffering old man. How we will miss him. I wrote some of the friend in the afternoon. I came home and the work done and prepared for a nights rest. Saturday November 23 1907 I was busy all forenoon. I had churning to do for the needed the butter down home. I did some baking to take down. We went in the buggy. Stopped at Woolfs I had not seen Mary since she came from Delavan. There were callers at home. Father was dressed and placed in his last early house this afternoon. he looked so well. so peaceful. There has been so many disappointments in his life. Will came down for supper and we spent the evening. Nellie Byington came this morning. There was a wrong announcement in one of the papers tonight about Fathers funeral. It was to be corrected from the different churches tomorrow.
