Wednesday May 27 1908 I ironed and baked bread today. I went over to the sale at Mrs [Kovers?]. I bought a lot of quart jars. The boys worked in the field this afternoon. I still have chickens hatching and it is work to take care of them Thursday May 28 1908 It rained so hard today. Late in the afternoon there was a frightful rain. I was busy with the work and the care of the chickens I have a little more than 150 now. Friday May 29 1908 Will went to town in the forenoon I was busy with the work. I now have the last of my little chickens out with the hens Will went back to town for his rubber boots that were being mended. I rested a little in afternoon. I went down to the church in evening to moving picture show. Good. Rob Whetstone 25 years old the 29th. Saturday May 30 1908 I did sweeping and cake baking in forenoon. Got the dinner and took care of chickens. Will went to town in afternoon. I tried to work on my tatting but was too tired to do anything. Will helped me with the evening work and I went to bed. Billy cut weeds with the hoe all day. It is some cooler this morning.
