Saturday June 6 1908 The boys could not plow today. Will went to town in the afternoon and it rained very hard. Billy cut the yard. I was kept busy with my chickens and the work. I do not feel much like work. Sunday June 7 1908 An extremely warm forenoon after the rain I was obliged to be in the kitchen all the forenoon I rested and read and wrote in afternoon. There was a bad storm [illegible] north of us today. Monday June 8 1908 It was raining again today. I had a big churning the boys did for me. I was busy with my house-work and the care of my chickens most of the day. Tuesday June 9 1908 I got my work done up early. Mother came out on the 10.39 after dinner I picked strawberries for supper and made some tatting I had a long letter from Lydia. I took Mother home late in the afternoon and stopped at Woolfs a few moments on the way home. The boys are plowing corn. I did the evening work and went to bed early.
