Tuesday September 1st 1908 I ironed and did baking in the forenoon and in the afternoon swept nearly every room in the house and cleaned up things generally. It was cooler today. Will busy about the place. Wednesday September 2 1908 I baked two pies to take the church ladies at the fair grounds. I got a nice fried chicken dinner for Will and I at half past ten. We then went to the fair ground I drove out from town alone The rest of the folks were there. Whetstones had the [Baby show?] again. I helped the ladies some in the booth. We came home before it was very late stopped at Woolfs a little while I was nearly tired to death. weather fine. A big crowd at the fair. Thursday September 3 1908 Will helped me do a big washing of bedding this morning. I ironed then some after dinner and did some mending It was a fine day. Will busy about the place. Friday September 4 1908 I was busy with the work all forenoon I sold 13 young chickens for $5.00 I baked a cake for the church fair down here in Coralville. I rested after dinner and sewed till time to get supper and to evening work. Will at work about the place most of the day.
