Monday April 5 1909 I washed some windows on the outside and by that time it had cleared of so I washed Will went to town to get grass-seed and attend a trustee meeting. He began work in the field in the afternoon and I cleaned the garret. A nice quiet day. no wind. Tuesday April 6 1909 I ironed this morning and worked at some calico things In the afternoon I cleaned up the parlor, did some more work up stairs and cleaned the shed room. Wind blowing again. Wednesday April 7 1909 I churned and ironed those few calicoes in the forenoon. Will busy with the seeding. I went to town at 2.12 and walked out to Carrie Andersons where there was a family party. [Anna? Irma?] Denton is here. I spent a pleasant afternoon and came home at 5.30. The wind blowed some today and last night was awful. Thursday April 8 1909 It was frightfully cold and windy. I went down to Otts at 8.12 to get Wills old fur coat. back on the same car. I got my work done and dinner over so I went down home at 1.12 to visit with The Andersons there. I came over to Woolfs on my way home and was surprised to find Jennie and Mr [Shick?] had jist returned from Marion where they has been married I would not stay for the supper. They go to house-keeing at once.
