Friday April 23rd 1909 I had churning and cleaning to do this morning. Will and I both worked out in the garden all afternoon. We get it cleaned up in great shape. It was cool and the wind did not blow I did evening work and read a little. It rained in early evening. Saturday April 24th 1909 I was up early. I baked cake and bread besides getting company dinner. John Stevens and family come at 11:30 But George and Flora did not come. Will was down town in the evening. The folks went home at 4.12. I made quite a bit of tatting. Mother told me Fannie took her over to [Whitchere?] That Mr. Whitaker is very poorly indeed. Sunday April 25th 1909 Charles would have been 63 years old today. I went to church It was a fine morning I wrote and read in the afternoon. The folks down home as usual. Fannie not able to go out today. Wrote to Lizzie Lindley. Monday April 26th 1909 I did my washing early so the clothes were nearly done when it come up a rain about eleven oclock. Will ground feed. I was busy with things about the house and worked some on my tatting in afternoon. It rained by spells the rest of the day and turned cooler. I set the hens.
