Sunday August 1st 1909 I did up the morning work and Will and I got ready to go down to the Woolfs. I went on down home for some things. We had a nice days visit at Marys. Did evening work and wrote some Monday August 2nd 1909 I worked in the forenoon and in the afternoon went to town for my new hat and other things needed. It was very warm I did the evening work and folded the clothes to iron Tuesday August 3rd 1909 I did ironing and some cooking in the forenoon and in the afternoon gathered things up ready to pack. Mr & Mrs Hoffman came out tonight. I went to bed early. Wednesday August 4th 1909 Mrs Hoffman did most of the work and I got my packing done I dressed after dinner Will and I went down on the 2.12. Mary came to the depot alone and Ott came to see us start at 3.30. We rode all night in a chair car. Thursday August 5th 1909 We woke up at Phillips-berg, Kansas. We rode our level country most of the forenoon. reached Edwards Springs at 2.30 Fannie and William met us. We went out to the South Canyon before supper and in the evening saw Alice Lidley play at a theater. I went behind the scenes to talk with her
