Sunday June 5th 1904 I did a little reading in the forenoon after finishing the regular work. In the afternoon I wrote to Sister Ida, Lydia Mason, and Lizzie Duncan. Will was down at the R.R. where there was excitement ofer the new road crossing the R.I. tracks. We went to bed early. I have not felt very well today. Monday June 6th 1904 A cool fine day to work. I had Rueben churn for me, help wash, and we put in all the afternoon at work in the garden and making chicken coops. The boys were plowing corn. Will hired a new man today. Tuesday June 7th 1904 I did ironing and got a nice dinner. I went down home to afternoon. Will went on to town. He is trying to gt a telephone put in. We did evening work. I am having more chickens hatching. weather very nice Wednesday June 8th 1904 I did some mending and got the dinner. I have had a lot of chickens hatch. I put in most of the afternoon watching them lay track in front of the house. Will was going to town but sold his hogs by telephone so was about the place all afternoon.
