Wednesday July 13th 1904 I went up and got Rueben to help me wash this forenoon. Will has help by the day and is busy getting the hay raked. Rueben pulled weeds all afternoon. I was down to Mrs Woolfs. I was late with my evening work. The men are fencing the R.R. right-of-way through our farm. Thursday July 14th 1904 It rained so the boys did nothing with the hay today. Rueben worked at picking up shingles in afternoon. I ironed in forenoon and picked over carrots and did mending in afternoon. Will went to McGines for berries for me after supper. Friday July 15th 1904 I had a very busy forenoon with the dinner and making 7 qts of jam. I had the men to get dinner for. I went down home and to town in afternoon. I called at Showers. It was a terrible hot day. Saturday July 16th 1904 A fearful hot day. I was busy all forenoon with doing baking and getting dinner. Will went to town in the afternoon. I read and did mending. The men finished putting all the hay cut in the barn. 21 loads in all. Fred Stevens and Rob Whetstone went to Dakota tonight.
