Tuesday September 20th 1904 Walter helped me put out a big washing I had it done by ten oclock. I cleaned up the house and got dinner. Will went to town afternoon to get rings for the hogs. I took Lydia's letters and stopped at home. did evening work. Wednesday September 21st 1904 The boys all the forenoon working and [rep...ting?] the hogs. They put some in the front lot. I got the ironing done and went to town got the meat and a basket of peaches. I stopped at home to visit with Mrs Richard Sanders. It was real cool, did evening work, am very tired. Thursday September 22nd 1904 I did more baking this morning and put up peaches and tomatoes. It was the middle of the afternoon when I got done. The boys are digging potatoes. Will hitched "Nellie" then on down home for Lydia. We came home by the "Black road." Did evening work and went to bed early. Friday September 23rd 1904 We put in the entire day at home. We were thinking of going to Jeff McCallister's tomorrow but Will did not make the arrangements as it looked so much like rain. I did some sewing. The boys got in a nice lot of potatoes.
