Saturday September 24th 1904 There was a terrible rain last night. I put in a very lazy forenoon got dinner early for Will to go down town. George Stevens telephoned for Lydia to be in at four oclock to go out home with him. I took her down to the car. I did not accomplish much today. The girls down home were down to West Liberty for the day. Lorie is in Cedar Rapids. Carneys things were sold at auction today. Sunday September 25th 1904 I washed alone after Will had churned for me. I took up the carpet and oil cloth under it in the kitchen and cleaned the floor. a warm day. Father got home from Chicago tonight and is sick. Tuesday September 27th 1904 I ironed this morning and took up both the sitting and dining room carpets. weather sultry. Will is not well and Walter is complaining too. I went down on the three oclock car to see how Father was, he is better. I came back at six to do evening work. Am very tired indeed.
