Sunday October 2nd 1904 Will went to the pasture and I was busy all forenoon with my peaches and doing baking so I can spare the cook stove tomorrow to get the kitchen fixed. I read in afternoon. went to bed early. Monday October 3rd 1904 The men came this morning to work on the house. Got the foundation in all around and Bob moved the cupboard & cut the doorway. Will went for more lumber afternoon. I went down on the car to Charles Irish funeral at the Unitarian church. I cleaned up the broken plants and got supper after I came home. I am standing the work pretty well all things considered. Tuesday October 4th 1904 The chimney was built higher in the forenoon and Bob with Wills help got the kitchen floor down. I began cooking on the oil stove and cleaned up the floors some. There was a shower soon after dinner. Lorie & Hattie were out for tomatoes. Walter took his things away today. he has to go to the hospital for a month.
