Monday October 17th 1904 I did regular work in morning. Will and I walked to town after dinner. I stopped at home. Mother is going to have her house shingled. I was at Dr Deans office. It is nine years today since Charlie died. It was a nice day. Was very tired and went to bed early. Tuesday October 18th 1904 A nice warm day. I cooked the soap in the yard in the morning. Will went to the valley. I was busy all the afternoon sweeping the parlor and bedroom upstairs and putting things to rights in cup-boards. Will came home early and churned for me. Wednesday October 19th 1904 It set in to rain early. I was sorry as I had work to do outside but I put in the day sewing. I cut out a waist to make. I sewed a little in the evening. Thursday October 20th 1904 weather still unpleasant. I put in the whole day sewing when not busy with the work. It was nine years today since Charlie was buried. Friday October 21st 1904 The wind blew a perfect gale all day and toward evening was some thing terrible. I did some more sewing and the regular work, read in evening.
