Saturday October 22nd 1904 It was terribly cold and windy but Will and I went to the west farm to see about them returning some shingles and came back to the home place for our dinner. we then went to town I got some things and we came home early. Lydia came out on the 4 oclock car. talked with her all the evening was very very tired. Sunday October 23rd 1904 Lydia put in the forenoon with her letters. Will went to the pasture and I was busy with the work. We read and rested all afternoon and evening. I did not feel very well. I must have taken cold. The weather is still unpleasant. Monday October 24th 1904 I had churning and the dinner on hand for the forenoon. Lydia and I went to town in the afternoon. I left her down at Minnie Stevens, did evening work Tuesday October 25th 1904 I did some washing alone this morning. Got the dinner and ironed all before four oclock. Lydia came back on the four oclock car. I was working with the green tomato pickle we fixed yesterday.
