Wednesday January 4th 1905 Walter went to the timber and Will helped me wash though it was a cold day. I wrote to Ida Colter in afternoon. The clothes were dry enough to bring from the line. I read in the evening. Will busy at home. Thursday January 5th 1905 Mother is 79 years old today. Will busy with the work till noon. Walter to the timber to cut wood. I did my ironing and the regular work and was down home in the afternoon and Will went on to town. It was late when supper was over. I read till late bed-time. Will got Nell shod today. Friday January 6th 1905 Walter went to the timber. I had a busy forenoon with churning and baking ginger cakes. Will went to town after noon and I spent a little time with Mary Woolf. I read and worked on my tatting in the evening. Saturday January 7th 1905 I had a very busy forenoon with the regular work. The boys were both at work about the place as Walter did not go to timber. The {they?} filled corn crib for hogs and ground corn. Will went to town. I down home. we did not stay late as it blew up very cold. I worked on my tatting all evening after reading the papers.
