Saturday April 29th, 1905 I cleaned the garret this forenoon besides getting the meals. I went down home in afternoon to do some sewing The boys plowed all day. Weather cooler. Sunday April 30th, 1905 I was busy most of the forenoon with the work and the little chickens. Will went up to see if the pasture is ready and in the afternoon he was down to the store awhile. I wrote some and read all the afternoon. Did evening work and went to bed early. Willie Wentzel has come back from Dakota and Will has hired him. He came tonight to stay. Monday May 1st 1905 They took the cattle to pasture early and when they came back Willie helped me wash. Will and Walter had some words in the field about work left undone and Walter left. I felt sorry there had been trouble. Will plowed the garden right away after dinner and he planted some seeds. I was busy with the wash all afternoon. a fine day Tuesday May 2nd 1905 I had churning and ironing this morning, the dinner to get and little chicks to see to. Mother and Hattie were out for their butter in afternoon. Will put in the afternoon getting things ready to plaster the kitchen late in the week. I helped him an hour to slack lime. Did evening work
