Friday May 12th 1905 Too wet for work. Will was in town most of the day. Willie helped me. I put down both carpets, did working and washed curtains. It is 19 years today since we were married. Will found out that Johns barn and other buildings were torn down completely as was the house for Charlie Williams. Their own house is so wrecked it must be taken down. They went to the cave. Saturday May 13th 1905 I ironed and did other home work in the forenoon. I had Willie help me fix coops for my chickens. I have had a good many hatch this week which with the bad weather and my house cleaning has make it hard. Will went to the pasture this morning and planted corn in the afternoon. Sunday May 14th 1905 I did up my morning work and got our dinner by eleven oclock. We then drove down to look at Johns place. It is a sight never to be forgotten. There is no use trying to describe it. There was hundreds of people there to look.. It was such an unpleasant day. The wind was frightful. Came right back. Mrs Koser here all evening. Monday May 15th 1905 Will planted corn again today. I was busy with the house work all forenoon. I cleaned the south bed-room some more in the afternoon. We had a terrible hard rain late in the afternoon. I got my little chickens in a safe place. Went to be early.
