Friday August 4th 1905 I had bread and other baking this morning. Mary Woolf came about ten oclock. I got dinner for her. Will and myself and we visited all afternoon. Will took her home. I had a letter from Lydia and another from Mort Allen at St Louis in regard to buying horses here. A warm day. Saturday August 5th 1905 Jennie Donner brought me some black berries. I was all forenoon making jelly. I went down home in afternoon and Will on to town. There was a nice shower last night but this has been a hot day. Did evening work. Sunday August 6th 1905 I did not feel very well. I was busy about the house most of the forenoon. I read in afternoon and wrote to Lizzie Lindley and Mort Allen. We sat on the porch in evening. weather warm. Monday August 7th 1905 Will and I went to town this morning. He got a new suit of clothes and a [cravenette?]. I got us some dinner and in the afternoon Will went back to town and I went down home. I sewed some on the machine. We came home to do evening work. Billy was helping thresh and did not get home till late.
