Tuesday August 8th 1905 I was busy with the work most of the day. I baked bread cake and pies and fixed other things for dinner tomorrow. Will busy getting ready to do the threshing. Wednesday August 9th 1905 Will went to town for meat. I got things ready for supper as I supposed but we found they would be here for dinner. I telephoned Hattie. She came on the 11:30 car. I hurried around and had dinner at noon . We did up the work and the threshing was done so they were not here for supper. I put things away after Hattie went home on the 5 oclock car. Did evening work. Thursday August 10th 1905 It was a very warm day. I washed a few things this morning and went down to the church at ten oclock to Will McGinnis funeral. I came home and after getting our dinner I went back to Mrs Chas Kosers to an afternoon party. got Will supper after I got home. Billy away threshing. We sat on the porch till bed-time. Friday August 11th 1905 A very warm day. Will went down town twice. Billy busy about the place. I ironed and got dinner and in the afternoon did not do much of anything it was so warm. Will looked for the man from St Louis to buy horses but he did not come.
