Thursday August 24th 1905 There was a big show in town today. Will went down at 9:30 and I at eleven. The parade had just passed. The folks were all over town. I got me a pair of slippers. I rode over home with the folks. We were both there to dinner. The folks nearly all went to the show. We came home in the four oclock car. I spent the evening down to Franklin Pointins. Friday August 25th 1905 I was busy with the work all forenoon. Will went to town in the afternoon. Mrs Whedon and her sister came out on the 2:30. They stayed till after supper. I did up the work and read a little. A very pleasant day. Saturday August 26th 1905 I put a big lot of corn to dry this morning. Had churning done and got dinner. We went down early in the afternoon. I stopped at Fannies first and then went up home. I went to town about four oclock. Hattie & Bertha Williams rode with. The other girls did not come. We got home late. I got supper and worked all evening with tomatoes. Sunday August 27th 1905 I put up the tomatoes did some baking and got our dinners. I took a nap in the afternoon. Then read some. I have felt badly all day. I have sneezed and had the head ache. I got Wills things already to pack. a warm day.
