Sunday April 8th 1906 It was raining this morning so we did not try to go down to Stevens. I put in a lot of time today looking over old checks and got together all the checks for payments on the farm and other papers about it. I wrote a little and read what spare time I had. Monday April 9th 1906 Will went up to look over the Danner pasture. I was busy most of the forenoon with the regular work. I sewed all afternoon. Will went down town. He rented the pasture and bought a heifer of Mr Minger and a horse and colt from Fred Miller. I read all the evening. Wednesday April 11th 1906 I washed out a few colored clothes this morning. I baked bread. Mother came up at 10.05. I met her down at The Koser crossing. I sewed in afternoon and walked down to the depot with her. Did evening work. It was late when the boys were ready for supper. Read in evening. Tuesday April 10th 1906 Will went after the stock he bought this morning. I was busy with the regular work and in the afternoon I went down to Woolfs in the cart. I found Will Woolf quite poorly. Came home to do evening work. Will began getting the ground ready for oats. Read in evening. The red cow with white face has a young calf.
