Saturday April 21st 1906 I finished raking the yard this morning. Did some baking and got the dinner. Will finished cutting stalks west of the house. He went to town at 12.30. I went at 4.05 and attended a matinee at the Opera House. It was "Alice in Wonderland." Will and I came home together, at 5:30. Jennie Danner and Mother were here at supper time for a call. I was tired and went to bed early. Sunday April 22nd 1906 It was cool and bright this morning and I proposed to Will we go down to Stevens for the day as Hattie and Rob were going. We had such a good time. I did my evening work. I wrote some and went to bed early. The Methodist church burned this morning about nine oclock. Monday April 23rd 1906 I had churning this morning and after that the washing. Rueben helped me. The wind blew so strong it broke my line and I had some of the clothes to wash over. I wrote a short letter to Joe Woolf in the afternoon urging her to come out for a visit. I cleaned up the kitchen and shed and did the ironing before supper time. "Lady Mare" has a colt now. Will busy cutting stalks. I sold all the old rubbers.
