Thursday May 10th 1906 I had a very busy forenoon with ironing and doing cooking. Will planted the little field down by the Clark shop. I had Rueben helping me. I was busy out doors most of the afternoon. I set two hens in the cow barn. I did the mending. Will went to town after supper. We had quite a rain storm. Friday May 11th 1906 I did not have my extra work besides the meals and looking after the chickens. I did quite a lot of sewing. Will finished disking a field and took the planter out and began to plant corn this afternoon. It was late when we had supper. Saturday May 12th 1906 It is 20 years today since we were married. How many of the company we had that day have been called away. I did sweeping and baking and was busy sewing all afternoon. There was a high wind all day. Will planted corn all day finishing the field west of the house. He went to town on the 7.30 car. There was a gentle rain set in at dark. We hear there was a young couple drowned from a boat last night near the Terrall dam. The man was Mr Thalburg who husked corn here three years ago, a senior medical student.
