Monday May 21st 1906 Rueben helped me do a big washing this morning. It was a fine day to dry the clothes. Mary Woolf was here a little while for some carpet I gave her. We went to town in afternoon. I wanted to see about work on teeth. Did the evening work. I folded the clothes and dressed a chicken. It was bed-time when I got through. Tuesday May 22nd 1906 We were up early this morning. Will and Ruben took 13 hogs to town that brought $178.20. I did ironing and got dinner. In the afternoon I mended all the clothes and put them away. weather much warmer. Wednesday May 23rd 1906 We began to clean house again this morning. Rueben helped me. We got the things all out of the dining and sitting rooms and the floors cleaned before noon. I washed curtains after dinner and then Will Rueben and I cleaned the paper before supper. John & Hattie were out for potatoes in the morning. Will plowed the potato patch this forenoon. He is not very well. Thursday May 24th 1906 I washed the wood-work in both rooms before noon. I sewed all afternoon on the dining room carpet and did not get it done. Did evening work. very warm.
