Friday July 13th 1906 I did some extra work up stairs and got the dinner. When the girls came there was a letter from home saying Lydia was sick and the folks (for Jim was coming too) would not be here to the reunion the 20th We are all terribly disappointed and sorry that Lydia is sick. The girls did washing in afternoon. I did not do much of any thing. Will worked in hay. The girls went in to Carrie Andersons to stay all night. wrote to Hattie. Saturday July 14th 1906 I was busy with the baking and regular work all forenoon. The men working in the hay. It was very arm. I slept most of the afternoon. We went to town in the evening. Went to bed as soon as we got home. Sunday July 15th 1906 Will went to the pasture. I did up the work got things fixed for dinner and went to church. Got our dinners and slept all afternoon. I went down to church in evening. The girls back tonight. Monday July 16th 1906 I did washing this morning and got the dinner. I was busy at home all afternoon. We girls spent the evening with Mrs Koser. The men are busy with the hay. Will getting ready for harvesting oats.
