Saturday July 1st 1906 The girls did a big washing in the forenoon. I want down town at 2.30. I took my hat to be fixed and then went down to the depot to see Otts folks start to Colorado Springs. Hattie was there. I stopped to call at Metcalfs with the girls who came on the next car. From there we went to Mrs Hoxies. Then stopped at Murphys. Nell took us down town in the buggy. We came home with Will at 5.00 oclock. I wrote to Anna Denton and would visit her with Mother too. Sunday July 22nd 1906 The girls went to S. School and I followed at church time. I was so tired I went to sleep in afternoon. Then went over to the Chautauqua rounds and took supper with them. I got up about four oclock. Did the evening work and read some. A terrible hot wind. spent the evening down at Edith Robinsons. Monday July 25th 1906 I am 55 years old today. I did ironing and some baking in the morning. The girls went down home to supper after making calls and I went done at 7.30. They met we at the car and we went up to see The Murphy girls. We had a very pleasant. evening. Came home at 9 oclock. Will began to cut hay up on Jennie Duncans place today. It is all done here.
