Thursday August 30th 1906 Alma and I got the rest of the things ready for the party, had our dinner over and ourselves ready when Mother Hattie and Mollie Stevens came on the 1.15 car. The other ladies came later and there were nearly thirty here. I served the refreshments at 5 oclock. They all appeared to enjoy it so much. The folks went home at 6.30. Alma and I washed up the dishes and talked till bed-time. a beautiful bright day. Friday August 31st 1906 I did not have much to do and wrote Will in the morning. Frank did not feel like work today but looked after the chores all right. We girls took the things we had brought out from home back as Fannie needed them to entertain this evening. I came back at 5.05 but Alma took supper in town. Bertha goes away tomorrow. Saturday September 1st 1906 I dressed chicken, baked bread, churned a little, and got up dinner. Ida Rittenmeyer and baby spent the day here. Frank at work. I wrote Will again had a letter today. Alma went to town, stayed for supper, and Clara Shultz came home with her to stay all night.
