Monday September 24th 1906 Will sold 7 hogs this morning for $150.70. He went ]to the pasture after dinner and then to town. Mother came out at 10.15 and Father came for her at five oclock. I shortened my black silk skirt today. Tuesday September 25th 1906 I did some sewing today and the regular work. Will does not feel very well. weather warm. Wednesday September 26th 1906 I did churned this morning and other things kept me busy till noon. I tried to sew some in the afternoon but was sneezing and had headache so could not do much. Will very tired in afternoon. He helped Ed Koser haul ice in forenoon. Thursday September 27th 1906 I got my work down and ready to start to Cedar Rapids at 9.15. There was a large party went. Alma met me but I went on out to the home with other ladies where we were pleased to see the place and the people. Alma came for me at two oclock and we went out to Kenwood and found Kate Wengers home but she was away on a visit. The girls brought us down to Ella Rhodes and we went from there to Bell Barnes. Then down town and to supper. Alma came with me to the station where I took the 7.30 for home. The weather was perfect and I spent a pleasant day.
