Tuesday February 16th 1904 I was very busy all the forenoon with the work. Will saw in the paper at noon that Emaline Connott was to be buried from Chalfants at two oclock. We hurried and went down. Mary & Mr Peckham came with her. She looked very nice. She had not been sick long. We waited till they came back from the cemetery to have a visit with them. I did evening work. went to bed early. Wednesday February 17th 1904 It was a stormy day. We found the cellar was freezing and we fixed up the oil stove and burned to warm it up. I was busy most of the day. I washed some things in the afternoon and put them to soak. The boys could not do much work, Thursday February 18th 1904 I put the clothes out and did the regular work. Will brought some fish for dinner. he went to town in the afternoon and I went as far as down home. Lorie is about the same. Alma came back yesterday to take care of her.
