Thursday April 9th 1903 I baked cake and ironed this morning and did the regular work. I sewed in my black dress in the afternoon. The boys are still busy with the oats. Friday April 10th 1903 It rained all day. Walter put in the time oiling harness. I sewed all day when not busy with the meals. Will churned for me. he put in the day reading and resting. Saturday April 11th 1903 It was very warm. Will went to town in the forenoon and up to the pasture in the afternoon. I swept the whole house before dinner and in the afternoon cleaned the cellar and took the milk down. Went to bed very early. I was so tired. Sunday April 12th 1903 "Easter Sunday." Cool and cloudy. I did just as little work as possible and read and rested. Mollie came back just before night. Talked with her all the evening.
