Monday June 5 1899 Will went after Miss Murphy this morning and had her here by eight oclock. I went up after Hattie in the afternoon. I was busy till late with the evening work after I got home. Tuesday June 6 1899 I was busy the greater part of the day with the work as I had baking to do. The girls finished my black dress and began a lot of other work. The weather was very warm today. Wednesday June 7 1899 Hatt took Miss Murphy down to Ada's this morning and then we went to town. I got some stuff for a thin waist. I got home in time to get dinner and was busy with churning and other work all afternoon. Thursday June 8 1899 I was busy with the churning and house-work all forenoon. I sewed a little after dinner and then drove down to Adas and up to Nelsons before time to get supper. Friday June 9 1899 Will took the butter to town. I was busy all day with the work and care of chickens. Miss Murphy got back about four oclock and began work for me. It is six months today since Edith died
