Sunday September 10th 1899 I was busy most of the forenoon with the house-work In the afternoon John & Hatt with Ott & family We had such a good visit and I had supper at five oclock. Did evening work and wrote some. Monday September 11th 1899 I was at work at the tomatoes all day I canned 25 qts. Will hauled two loads of brick from town for the building Henry is going to do. It was late when my evening work was done Tuesday September 12th 1899 I got my work done early and went up town I took Mother some tomatoes. I put Nell in [Cranes] barn, was at Dr Murphys office before going up to Mrs McCords to the luncheon. Spent a very pleasant day. Will got another load of brick in the forenoon. It was late when my evening work was done. Wednesday September 13th 1899 I went early this morning out to Charlie Hedges for plums. I put them up in the afternoon and swept the house all over. Luther churned for me. I fixed things to take with us for dinner tomorrow if we go to the West Liberty fair. A hard days work
