Monday December 25th 1899 As soon as we could get things ready we went up town it was very cold. The christmas dinner and a tree was at Otts. We got more pleasure out of the day than we thought possible. I was well pleased with my presents. We spent the evening quietly reading after doing the evening work. Tuesday December 26th 1899 Weather cold I did the necessary housework and put in my sparetime changing my brown dress. Wednesday December 27th 1899 I sewed all the time I could today. I finished my brown dress put a collar on my green one and did some other work. Thursday December 28th 1899 After doing the morning work, Will and I went up to Stevens for dinner. They had a very pleasant party. Weather very cold. I churned in the evening Friday December 29th 1899 Will and I went up home by invitation today We took Uncle George and Aunt Lib with us. I helped Hattie with the dinner. They had a pleasant company for Father & Mother. We came home to do evening work. It was a very cold day. I read in the evening
