Sunday January 27th 1901 Mort went home today. I was busy in the kitchen most of the forenoon. In the afternoon Will and I tied up some pictures. I wrote and read in the evening. Monday January 28th 1901 I helped the boys put on two loads of things from the house on sleds this morning. I did a big washing alone and in the afternoon packed more things to go tomorrow. Weather not bad. Willie & Connie were down to spend the evening. Tuesday January 29th 1901 I helped put one load of things and the boys took one load of straw. I washed out some more things and ironed in the afternoon. I was busy all day long. Weather turned colder tonight. Wednesday January 30th 1901 Will went to the Henry Bird sale today. Mort was busy about the place he helped me some, I got a lot of things ready to go tomorrow. After Will came home the boys caught the turkeys and in the evening we caught a few more chickens I dressed a turkey in the afternoon and a chicken in the evening. This has been a full days work.
