Friday September 17th 1897 Will helped me put out a big washing and we had dinner over so we started to town a little after twelve. I was at Ashleys and at Missionary meeting at Mrs Remleys. we came home in time to do chores. I ironed some and put up plums after supper. Saturday September 18th 1897 I finished ironing and did baking in the forenoon. we went up town again. I spent the afternoon over home. The weather is quite cool. Did our evening work and went to bed. Sunday September 19th 1897 I was busy all forenoon getting the dinner. Henry and all the family were down including the new housekeeper with her baby. Johns family and Emma Weldie spent the afternoon here. Will and I talked all the evening. Monday September 20th 1897 I was over to Emmmas in the morning besides putting up tomatoes and cherries. I did a little mending after dinner and Will helped me pick the [ducks?]. we shelled beans at night. Tuesday September 21st 1897 After the evening work was done Will and I went down after wild grapes. I washed some windows before noon. I got some apples from Callies and worked all afternoon and evening with the grapes. Will gathered seed sweet corn in the afternoon Wednesday September 22nd 1897 I worked all forenoon making grape jelly and putting ip tomatoes. Will went to help thresh. I got me a little dinner and went over to help Emma sew carpet. Will got home in time to do chores. I wrote all evening. a beautiful day.
