Friday July 27th 1894 Will and I went in town early and found Laura had come at five oclock and gone over home. We went after her. I did up my work and got dinner after coming home. In the afternoon Uncle Jacob Aunt Em & Mary and Uncle Jim and Aunt Mary called to see Laura. It has not been as warm as yesterday. We were tired and went to bed early. Saturday July 28th 1894 I was busy about the baking all forenoon and we did not go to town after dinner for it looked like rain but all went to the south. Will went in late with a bushel of apples. We spent the evening writing and went to bed early. Sunday July 29th 1894 Will took us girls to church this morning. Uncle Jacob was here and he rode down with us. We found Dr. Brush gone for a trip west. In the afternoon Laura and I went down to Stevens. It was very warm. I got supper after I came home. Mary Anderson & Mr. Paine spent the evening here. Monday July 20th 1894 Will took apples to town this morning and Leonard helped me do a big washing. I got dinner and took the clothes down. Will took us girls down home to Ediths birthday party. We had a very nice time. The child is thirteen years old today. Laura stayed down there all night. It was just dark when we got home. We found one of our Jersey cows had a little calf.
