Sunday September 9th 1894 We got ready to go to church this morning but gave it up as it looked like rain. We thought to go down town in the afternoon But it set in for a heavy rain It stopped long enough for Will to do his chores. I got us some supper. Charlie came back after dark. Alice went in town early this morning and did not get back. I did not feel at all well a greater part of the day. Monday September 10th 1894 I felt better this morning, got breakfast and packed Wills valise. Alice came back early. Will and I started to town at nine oclock. I went up to Dr. Murphy office and did some errands about town, met Laura on the street, I brought Will to the depot and came on home. In the afternoon I made apple preserves and we put up more to dry. John, Hatt & Edith were out and Laura stopped with the folks from the valley. Alice brother came for here and she went home for a day. Tuesday September 11th 1894 Charlie went in with his apples and I was busy all forenoon. I baked bread and put down corn to dry. It was late when he came to dinner. I wrote to Will after dinner and went in home for Mother. we stopped in town I got two baskets of peaches and all the pickles I will need. Did the evening work. Wednesday September 12th 1894 Mother and I both worked nearly all the forenoon put more corn to dry, put up peaches, churned and gathered apples for her to take home. Alice
