Monday August 14th 1893 We got up early and Will helped me wash. It was done so early that we had all the common things ironed and baking done by noon. I went with Laura to have some pictures taken in the afternoon and got some things for dinner tomorrow. We then went up to see about my dress and over the river for a few things I needed. Will hitched old pet for me. It was late when we had supper. Tuesday August 15th 1893 I got up early and done some scrubbing before breakfast. I was busy all forenoon with my dinner. Edith came over to help me. The girls all came but Carrie Clark. I enjoyed their visit very much. It began to rain late in the afternoon. Will helped me wash the dinner dishes after the company left and it was six oclock when we got done. I then got us a late supper. I was very tired. Mr Edwards at home again. Laura went to the ballet. Wednesday August 16th 1893 I sewed all the time I could get this forenoon. Father and Mother were here for dinner and Ida Anderson came in just at noon. Laura was here in the afternoon and said Minnie Mechler had gone home. It is very pleasant after the rain. Will took the horses to pasture yesterday
