Monday October 2nd 1893 It is a cloudy morning. we waited till nearly ten oclock for George Folsom and then took the elevated road for the fair grounds. We look around some before taking a trip on the intermodal inside the grounds to give us an idea of hos the grounds were arranged. We stopped at the Iowa building which is very prettily decorated in corn. At noon we met the folks from the valley to eat lunch with George Folsom was there too. In the afternoon we looked at the Illinois, Utah, Indiana, & California buildings, Woman's building & Horticulture Hall. It was raining at five oclock so we went home to supper. Spent the evening in our room and went to bed early. Tuesday October 3rd 1893 Went down on cable cars to [57th?] St entrance. George could not get on same car with us and did not see him all day. We went first to Kansas building where we saw stuffed animals. We then across the lake front and down to Manufactories building where we stayed till noon. From there to Electrical & Administration buildings and Machinery hall. We were very tired so went on to Festival hall to to listen
