Monday December 11th 1893 I was busy with my work all forenoon. I cleaned up my silver and did extra work. I was up town in the afternoon. Jennie Woolf was here a little while to tell me about a party for her Mother as a surprise on her birthday. Hatt & Fanney were here too. Tuesday December 12th 1893 I was up town in the morning at Mr Edwards office for rent and got some things. I got dinner over early as Will got home and he helped me wash in the afternoon. We rode over to Marys with Charlie Hedges. She was surprised and we sent a pleasant evening. The folks from home were over. We walked home. weather very cold. Wednesday December 13th 1893 I was buys about the work all forenoon. I brought in some of the clothes to dry. I went to the church soon after dinner to help quilt. When I came back found Mother had been here all afternoon. I got the rest of the clothes in and ride up town with Mother and Edith. It was a very cold day. I had only got my supper work done when Elmer Anderson and wife came in to spend the evening. I made up bread after they started home.
