Friday March 23rd 1894 It was quite a pleasant morning. I had my work all done by half-past nine to go to town. I put in the time till nearly noon attending to errands and went over home for dinner. I had a good visit with the girls till four oclock when I started home. Will had fire ready for me to get supper when I came. I got my work done and read in the evening. I had a letter from Mother today. Saturday March 24th 1894 It was freezing cold today with a strong wind blowing. I was busy till after two oclock with my Saturday work. I read part of the afternoon. Will went to town in the waggon. I read and wrote in the evening. Sunday March 25th 1894 It was a very cold day for the time of year. I was busy about the house all forenoon. Leonard went to town. In the afternoon I wrote to Lizzie Duncan and Mrs Bivens. I read in Adam Bede all the evening. Monday March 26th 1894 I was doing some cooking this morning. Will & Leonard began to cut down a big tree at
