Monday Jan 22nd 1872 A windy disagreeable day did not feel very good natured at school today had three new scholars two of them were from Coralville Stopped at Folsoms tonight Arth walked home with me stopped a few minutes Mother had supper ready so we got the work done up early She washed today felt too tired to do anything tonight. Tuesday Jan 23rd 1872 It was very cold today taught school when I came home helped about the work and got the supper Mother was over to Folsoms awhile this afternoon. Had a letter from E. Picard in Ft Scott read the papers in the evening. Wednesday Jan 24th 1872 It was a very cold day. Taught. When I came home from school I stopped to see George awhile he is
