17th Monday Feb 5th 1872 Went to school early and built the fire myself. Taught till afternoon recess and Rob finished they had a meeting tonight after school to make some arrangements for their exhibition. I have concluded to help with one charade. It has been real cold today. Father still continues sick. Sent my letter to the office by Charlie. Tuesday Feb 6th 1872 As soon as I had eaten my breakfast I put on my things and went to school wrote a note to Anna this morning asking her about the charade will go over and see her tomorrow. Rob came over at recess and relieved me. Mother was washing and I helped finish when I came home we had only got through when Sadie Pinney and [Terrie?] Bishop came and in a short time Emma Middleton they all stayed till after supper. The weather has been more moderate today. I have a distracting toothache tonight. Father still sick. I heard something real funny tonight that I must not forget to tell to Mr H_ George Folsom is getting some better saw him yesterday but not today.
