19th Saturday February 10th 1872 Taught today to make up the day I lost when I was sick The weather is real warm it thawed considerable today The children had a rehearsal at the school house tonight I was knitting till quite late to finish off a sock I had been knitting. Four years today my friend [Len?] Anderson started home. Sunday February 11th 1872 A most beautiful day. Mother and Charlie went to the valley I was busy all the forenoon doing the work and writing a short letter to my Friend Anna K_. Before I had got dressed in the afternoon Mr Huebner came to take me out riding. We had such a pleasant ride Was out east of town out on the Dubuque road and down to Robinsons also did not get home till almost night. He took the team to town and came back and we went to church heard Miss Chapin preach her text was 1st Cor 13.13 the words And now abideth faith hope charity these three but the greatest of these is charity When we got home found Mother and Charlie here Mr H_ stayed till ten oclock.
