20th Monday February 12th 1872 Taught today After school Annie and Mollie came over and we rehearsed Petroleum it has been foggy and thawing all day Mother washed today. I helped about the supper and the work went to bed early. Tuesday February 13th 1872 It turned cold last night and today was terrible I havent got so cold this winter going to school. did not have a very full school today could not do very much at practicing our pieces there was such a few there sewed some in the evening. Wednesday February 14th 1872 It was still very cold today did not teach this forenoon Hattie took charge of the school We were expecting Cousin Ira and John Anderson here this morning the train was behind time I went to school this afternoon practiced a little after school When I got home the boys was here had just come was glad to see them We played cards awhile tonight Weather moderating prospects it will be pleasant Friday. Father went to Vinton
